Minute Papillon

After featuring on last year’s “Vertical Integration” compilation, it was a great privilege to be a part of another compilation for Second Language Music

Minute Papillon (SL09) is yet another beautifully packaged and curated compilation, taking no less than 60 artists (including ISAN, Heather Woods Broderick, Dollboy, Plinth, Machinefabriek and many, many more), each of whom were asked to submit a track of exactly 1 minute in length

This release has already sold out, but we would urge any of you who aren’t already subscribers to Second Language to head on over to their website and investigate this wonderful label

Montpellier

On the 28th of October, we were in Montpellier to play a show at Le Baloard with Laetitia Sadier

It was quite a journey, to say the least! Vowing never to try and drive through Paris without a REALLY good map, we arrived in time to get a good soundcheck (which is a valuable commodity these days!) and some lovely homemade French cuisine, courtesy of the lovely Frank & Camille from Wool Recordings.

The show itself was great & we had a ball (the punch from the bar was pretty epic too!)

Big love & thanks to all who made it possible…especially Frank, Camille, Laetitia and Jack.

Vertical Integration

We were delighted to feature on Second Language Music’s “Vertical Integration” compilation this year.

In this fickle age of pick-and-choose mp3 consumption, Second Language are doing their bit to keep music physical, with a rapidly-growing reputation for their attention to detail (both with their packaging & the great range of artists they work with).

We were in good company on this one, with other artists such as Robin Saville, Olof Arnalds, Gareth Dixon and many more also contributing tracks.

The packaging takes the form of a deluxe screenprinted fanzine, featuring interviews with all of the artists that were involved.

At the time of writing, there were still some copies available….With Second Language, once they’re sold out, they’re sold out for good though. For this reason, anyone interested in this release should click here to treat themselves to a copy without delay!
